Week 5 Solidworks, Creating a Drawing Template and Importing Part Files to Generate Orthographic Views
This week we set up and created our own drawing templates, with the right settings this links to the parts that are imported to it and displays key information including the drawing number, drawing standard, part number, third angle projection, material, name & date and a company logo.
We moved on to create a few different parts that we then imported to the template to display them in orthographic views, front, side, top and an isometric view; also adding a section view to a later part.
Creating the drawing template and linking it to the parts was quite tricky and this took me a while to figure out but we got there in the end.

The part properties had to be linked to the drawing template so that the right boxes will display the right information |
